GRENZENLOOS

With the theme GRENZENLOOS, De Dutch Don’t Dance Division once again brings an evening with a variety of music and dance to the Huygens Festival.

Like last year, master pianist Erwin Weerstra will be present, but organist Geerten van de Wetering will also play the beautiful Marianne organ of the Oude Kerk Voorburg, providing the dancers with exquisite musical accompaniment.

The audience will be treated with works by Arvo Pärt. This Estonian composer will reach the respectable age of 90 in 2025 and has pushed many boundaries in the music world, inspiring numerous international choreographers.

The following works are on the program (subject to change!):

* 'Spiegel im Spiegel', 'Für Alina', Arvo Pärt (Estonia)

* Ragtime for piano, Igor Stravinsky (Russia)

* Ragtime for organ, Mauricio Kagel (Argentina)

* 3 parts from 6 Duos for organ and piano, Charles Widor     (France)

* ‘Minimal impro’, Lubomir Melnyk (Ukraine)

* 'Waltz for the Vrede', Rami Bar-nif (Israël)
