The Snow Queen is one of the beautiful fairy tales by the famous Hans Christian Andersen.  

Thom Stuart, artistic director of DeDDDD, has created a brand-new ballet based on it, featuring more than eighty dancers, with music by the young Finnish composer Tuomas Kantelinen (originally written for the Finnish National Ballet), and it takes you into a magical winter world.

Gerda fights against the evil influence that holds her friend Kai: The Snow Queen freezes his heart, while trolls, wolves, and robbers threaten them.  

With help from animals and a noble prince and princess, everything turns out happily in the end.

 

This chilling yet heartwarming Christmas ballet, with stunning sets and lighting by Pink Steenvoorden and magical costumes by Rinus Sprong, is the ultimate Christmas experience for everyone, young and old!
