The dancers and management of DeDDDDD are already busy preparing for the End of Season performances in our own studio on Saturday, July 5 & Sunday, July 6. These performances also mark the farewell of our 2nd and 3rd year dancers: Dulce Jordão, Francesco Cusumano, Lorenzo Topino & Samuele Maniglia.

Especially for this quartet, artistic director Thom Stuart is creating a new quartet as a farewell ballet, to music by Kyteman, Pete Philly & Perquisite.

Furthermore, there are 2 reprises of his hand: ‘Company’ by Philip Glass and ‘Petite Danseuse’ based on the ballerina figurine by Edgar Degas, which will also be on display at Beelden aan Zee after the summer, linked to their exhibition Ryan Gander X Edgar Degas. But of course the voice of the new generation of choreographers must be heard too! Edoardo Chirico is creating a piece about nightmares set to techno music for almost the entire group, and Lorenzo Topino is even making a work for the entire group, with the theme of empathy, finding support in each other.

The Portuguese Dulce is creating a solo for colleague Romane to the music of Fado singer Mariza. Work by house choreographer Kiran Bonnema will also not be lacking.
